Explanation page

First of all… NAKKO is totally free! No strings attached, no subscriptions (we really, really hate them) nothing, zip, zilch, nada, NAKKO! We pay our bills by showing you ads that hopefully fit your interests.

So now GO AWAY!! We don’t like reading manuals and probably you don’t either, so go out there and explore!

For those persistent enough to read on… here it comes:

Nakko lets you download, upload and share all you want. For sharing content there’s only one rule: you must be the legal owner of the stuff you want to share with others. For the rest you can do all you want.

You start off by signing up for NAKKO. After signup you will be the proud owner of your own locker. This locker is like your personal stash, containing your downloads & uploads. After this it’s up to you to see if you want to start making your own mobile stuff or if you want to browse thru other people’s items. These items are either private, for friends only or public. The public ones can be downloaded directly (just drag ‘n drop the item to the dropzone), the items for friends need a different approach. In order for you to be able to download (drag ‘n drop) such an item you first have to try to become friends with the owner of the item. When you’re accepted as a friend the item you requested will automatically move to your locker and we’ll let you know thru mail and/or instant message

I can hear you thinking “ but this new friend has a totally different kind of phone than I have…” this is where NAKKO’s magic comes in. Since we know what phone you have (you told us when you signed up) we’ll make sure you always get the right kind of tones, wallpapers, movies & games specifically tailored for your phone.

You can also create your own stuff. Let’s say you want to use the chorus of that new track you just bought… In just three easy steps you can get exactly that part of the song you want to use as ringtone. Upload, Cut, Save. That’s it… easy as pie… you’ll be sorry you ever paid money for ringtones ;) `The same can be done with wallpapers: Upload, Crop, Save. No programs to install, it can all be done from the comfort of your lazy chair and the NAKKO website. Getting your items from your locker to your phone is just as easy! You can either download to your PC and use bluetooth or a cable to get the file on your phone, or you can use your phone to surf to your locker @ m.nakko.com and download directly into your phone, or we can send you an SMS (Holland only for now) with the download link. And yes… even the SMS is free on NAKKO!! Thanks to our good friends at HI!
